HOW EMPLOYEES JOIN
Text messages are optional. They are not a condition of employment, of being
paid, or of anything else. No employee has to agree to them.
Every employee is given a short opt-in form, at hire and at any time afterward
on request, which asks whether they would like their weekly pay summary sent by
text message, and to which mobile number. They may answer yes or no. Leaving it
blank counts as no.
An office administrator records that answer in our payroll system. The system
will not send a text message to anyone whose answer is not recorded as yes, even
if we already have their mobile number on file for other reasons.
Employees who say no, or who never answer, receive exactly the same pay summary
by email. Their pay, hours, and employment are unaffected in every way.
MESSAGE DETAILS
Employees who opt in receive about one message per week containing their own pay summary. Message and data rates may apply depending on the employee's mobile plan.
HOW TO STOP
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for assistance. An employee may also ask any manager or the office to remove their number at any time.
YOUR NUMBER
We use an employee's mobile number for one purpose only: sending that employee their own pay summary. We do not sell, rent, trade or share mobile numbers or consent records with anyone, and we do not use them for marketing.
